Question by Katrina R.: Will red wine “in my marinade” make my pork loin roast taste like alcahol?
Please forgive me if this question sounds stupid, but I am roasting a pork tenderloin with a marinade recepie that uses wine that was recommended by a family member, I’ve never used wine as a marinade before. I made a dry rub with equal parts of salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, mixed it together and rubbed it on the pork loin. I then added a cup of red wine and a half cup of vinegar and I am letting it set til tommorow. Question: Will my meat have that stong over-powering flavor of the alcahol in the wine after its cooked?

Thanks!

Only if you put too much in it. Sounds like it’s going to taste good, makes me wish I wasn’t overseas…

Not really, Yes it will taste of alcohol if you don’t put the whole bottle into it.
    Sounds Delicious… Enjoy eating…

no the alcohol will evaporate during roasting BUT the flavor will be in it so don’t use too much wine. this will make the roast very tender and very tasty .personally I would omit the vinegar. hope this helps.
